BatCAT WP3 - Interoperability infrastructure
Milestone ID: 158
This GitLab Milestone represent the Horizon BatCAT Work Package WP3 - Interoperability infrastructure (M7 - M33) as this is our usual accounting practice.
Lead: RPTU
Starts: M7, however M19 is begin of the earliest task for IS
Budget (IS): 5PM
Objective
WP3 develops an interoperable and extensible infrastructure for communicating information between modelling and simulation approaches, including both physics-based modelling and data-driven surrogate models as well as both internal (consortium) and external data infrastructures/ repositories. In this way, it realizes KO3, maintainable technical internal and external linking/interoperability of models, data, and processes," for which it has the main responsibility. WP3 also plays a substantial role at realizing KO5 (DT platform).
Tasks and Deliverables
T3.1 - Technical/platform interoperability (M19 - M30)
Lead: UKRI
contrib: DTU, IS, LIST, NIC, RPTU
This task makes the data space and DKMS interoperable with tools and platforms that enable a relevant ex - change of information or services: PSDI, MolMod DB, DOME4.0, COMPOSELECTOR, tools from BIG-MAP (BIG-MAP Notebook, etc.), the DigiPass coordination and support action, the Knowledge Graph Alliance, and new platforms from Advanced Materials 2030 Initiative, BATTERY 2030+, EOSC, and EMMC related projects.
Notes
- This task contains "interoperability" with "BIG-MAP Notebook". How does this relate to T4.1?
T3.5 - Surrogate modelling (M19 - M33)
Lead: POLITO,
contrib: IS
This task connects the predictor from T5.1 and model parameterization by MCO from T5.2 with the outcomes of electronic, atomistic, mesoscopic, and continuum modelling through a virtual tool by which surrogate models can be generated automatically. The tool tracks provenance and uncertainty (T3.4), interoperating with the KB.
T3.7 - Maintainability and extensibility (M19 - M33)
Lead: RPTU
contrib: DTU, IS, UKRI
Requirements for future applications and extensions are anticipated in close coordination with stakeholders, from BATTERY 2030+, DigiPass, EMMC, Knowledge Graph Alliance, and emerging related initiatives. Interfaces and alignments are developed accordingly to guarantee resilient long-term maintainability and extensibility.
D3.2 - Demonstration of the technical and business process modelling methodology and technical interoperability
Lead: LIST
Due: M30
This public demonstration presents the results from T3.1, Technical and platform interoperability, and T3.3, Industrial (technical and business) process modelling. In particular, it demonstrates the interoperability of the data space and the DKMS with tools and platforms that enable a relevant ex-change of information or services: PSDI, MolMod DB, DOME4.0, COMPOSELECTOR, tools from BIG-MAP (BIG-MAP Notebook, etc.), and new platforms from BATTERY 2030+, EOSC, and EMMC related projects. BPMN 2.0 is employed to model processual/scheduling and non-physical elements of manufacturing processes and their steps, including temporal and safety-related constraints.
D3.4 – Report on extensible surrogate and actionable models
Lead: POLITO
Due: M33
D3.4 reports on T3.5, T3.6, and T3.7. As such, it describes (a) BatCAT's virtual tool by which surrogate models can be generated automatically, (b) improved automated process regulation through actionable modelling, and (c) the interfaces and alignments that guarantee a resilient long-term maintainability and extensibility.
