This is kind of desired behavior since value is (should be) reserved for the internal value property anyway. (We should be much more explicit about reserved names, but that's a server and possibly pylib problem...)

The error message should be better though.

But e.g. using the web interface it's possible to create a property with name value. What is the internal value property?

There is a server issue for this. It shouldn't be possible and is highly discouraged, the same way you shouldn't insert an Entity with name RecordType (although you probably can). It will result, e.g., in unexpected query results.

The internal value property is the value of an entity (mainly properties, of course).
